Builds

One summer, one AI partner, three things dug out of the backlog graveyard. Each story stands alone, but they happened in this order, and each one taught the next one its lessons.

The build stories, in order. Start at 01.

01
There Has to Be an Easier Way to Get This Stuff Into the System
June 2026. The first Lightning Web Component I ever built: a business card scanner, two days with an AI partner, and the article that set the house rules. Failures included.
02
The Map View: They Don't Love You Like I Love You
July. The harder sequel: a mapping library, a geocoding pipeline, a brand the standard component refused to wear, and the pins that were never really there.
03
The Six People Who Don't Know They're on My Team
August. The build turned inward: six advisory chairs, one steelman rule, and the client situation that put the whole thing to work.
Also from the workshop: A Screen for a Meeting, a dashboard built for a room instead of a desk.
